EXW – Ex-Works (Any mode of transport)
The seller must place the goods at the disposal of the buyer at the sellers premises or another named place, not cleared for export and not loaded onto any collection vehicle.
FCA – Free Carrier (Any mode of transport)
The seller must deliver the goods, cleared for export to the nominated carrier of the buyer at a named place.
FAS – Free Alongside Ship (Sea freight only)
The seller must place the goods, cleared for export alongside the vessel at the named port of shipment.
FOB – Free on board (Sea freight only)
The seller delivers the goods, cleared for export to the port of shipment.
CFR – Cost & Freight (Sea freight only)
The seller delivered the goods and pays for the transport to the named port of destination. The buyer pays all costs from the port of destination to the final delivery point.
CIF – Cost Insurance & Freight (Sea freight only)
This is the same as CFR with the seller having the additional responsibility of arranging Insurance against loss or damage during transit.
CPT – Carriage Paid To (Any mode of transport)
The seller delivers the goods to the nominated carrier and pays all costs incurred up to the nominated carrier. The buyer pays all costs from the nominated carrier through to the delivery point.
CIP – Carriage & Insurance Paid To (Any mode of transport)
This is the same as CPT with the seller having the additional responsibility of arranging Insurance against loss or damage during transit.
DAT – Delivered at Terminal (Any mode of transport)
The seller pays for the carriage up to the destination Customs Clearance terminal and assumes all risks up to unloading into the terminal.
DAP – Delivered At Place (Any mode of transport)
The seller pays for the carriage up to the final delivery point excluding import clearance. The seller assumes all risks up to the point that the goods are unloaded a the delivery point by the buyer.
DDP – Delivered Duty Paid (Any mode of transport)
The seller pays all costs through up to the delivery point, including import customs clearance.
